CASA of South Central Missouri is supported by a volunteer board of directors. The local office is managed by Judith Waters, Program Director, and can be reached at 573-458-6240.

CASA began in 1977 when a Seattle judge became concerned over the decisions he had to make about the future of abused and neglected children whose cases came before him. Too many were being lost in an overburdened court system. His ideas was to use volunteers to assist the court.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) was born of this idea. Their goal is to alert the court to the child's needs; tracking their progress towards a permanent home.
CASA volunteers assist in providing substantive information to aid in the placement of the child. To become a CASA volunteer, click on the Volunteer tab above.
